Government Relations Committee
Positions on matters of public policy are developed through the Government Relations Committee. With a permanent subcommittee on tax and fiscal issues, the Government Relations Committee meets once a month to craft a public policy agenda, meet with key leaders in government, form our advocacy positions on issues as they arise, and plan political forums during election years. This structure provides an opportunity for the Region’s business and economic development leaders to speak with a forceful, united voice on the issues that matter to us all. Furthermore, it provides unique networking opportunities with business and government leaders, both in Hartford and Washington, D.C., as well as a source of information on the latest topics and trends in politics and government.
Members of the Alliance who join the Government Relations Committee become part of an active and engaged interest group with a strong reputation for effective leadership and advocacy on behalf of the business community in Hartford and the metro Hartford area.
